Sun, Sand and Soul comes back to Seascape Resort on April 15 to 17, 2027. Tedeschi Trucks Band plays three sets across the weekend, including two on Saturday night, with Earth, Wind & Fire, Lukas Nelson, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Sierra Hull, The Wailers and Samantha Fish filling out the bill.
We own a condo in Majestic Sun, the Gulf-front tower inside the resort, so we see these weekends from the balcony side. Here's what to know before you buy a pass, and where to stay once you have one.
Where is Sun, Sand and Soul held?
At Seascape Resort on Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach, Florida, about ten miles east of Destin. The stage is built on the resort grounds, not on a fairground across town. That's the whole appeal of these weekends. You spend the day on the beach, walk to the show around 5pm, and walk home when it ends around 10pm. Nobody drives and nobody waits on a shuttle.

The band also hosts things during the day. Last year that meant a welcome bonfire on the beach, a fishing tournament, a cornhole tournament, yoga and an art workshop. The 2027 schedule hasn't been posted yet.
How do the passes work?
The promoter, Topeka, doesn't sell single tickets. You buy a spot for all three nights, and there are four kinds. A Cove is a reserved space with chairs for a group of two, four or six, with food and drinks delivered to you. Soul Cove is standing room at the front of the stage and works for one person or any size group. Sunset Suites are covered, raised and seat ten. Soul Cove Suites seat six right at the rail. One thing that confuses people every year: a pass does not include a place to sleep. Lodging is booked separately.
Where do you stay for Sun, Sand and Soul?
Inside Seascape if you can. The resort has several condo buildings, and any of them puts you within a walk or a golf cart ride of the venue. Majestic Sun is the one on the Gulf side, directly across Scenic Gulf Drive from the beach, with the resort's pools, restaurants and the stage behind it.
You have two honest options. Topeka runs a partner program with a handful of local rental managers, and if you book through one of them you also get into a daytime performance reserved for lodging guests. That list is on the festival's Travel and Lodging page. Or you book directly with an owner, which is what we are. You won't get the daytime set through us, and I'd rather you know that going in. What you get is a two-bedroom, two-bath corner condo that sleeps six, with the Gulf out every window, and you're dealing with the owner instead of a rental office.
Is your condo open that weekend?
As I write this in September 2026, yes. Every festival weekend this fall is already booked, and April is the one still open. See the condo, the photos and the calendar here. Topeka's partner stays require three nights, and that's the right length anyway. Come in Thursday, leave Sunday, and you don't miss a set.
What is the weather like in mid-April?
About as good as it gets here. Highs in the mid 70s, low humidity, and the summer crowds haven't arrived. The Gulf is still cool, in the upper 60s to low 70s, so plan on wading more than swimming. Evenings at an outdoor show can drop into the low 60s with a breeze off the water. Bring a layer for the last set.
How do you get there?
Most people drive in from around the Southeast. If you're flying, Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS) is about 30 minutes away, Northwest Florida Beaches (ECP) in Panama City is about 50, and Pensacola (PNS) is about 90. Once you're parked at the resort, you're done with the car until you leave.
