Majestic Sun
Our own stretch of sand, from the Gulf in front of Majestic Sun, looking southwest to the Destin towers. This is the beach you walk out onto from the condo, so it is the one to check before you pack the cooler.
Whale's Tail
Beach level at the Whale’s Tail Beach Bar, a couple of hundred yards west. Dune fence, picnic tables and the busiest umbrella field on this stretch. Watch this one to judge the crowd.
Maravilla
Elevated, 1.6 miles west, looking across Scenic Gulf Drive to the sand. The widest read on the surf and the sky on this stretch, and the one to watch at sunset.
Leeward Key
The far end, 1.7 miles west at the Destin city line. A long view back down the coast that shows weather arriving before it reaches the rest of the beach.
Sterling Sands (Destin)
Not Miramar Beach: east Destin, about six miles west. A clean, wide look at the Gulf with nothing in the way, and the one to check when the cameras closer to home are down.
The Grove
The Seascape lagoon pool. Not a beach view — this is the one for judging how busy the resort itself is on a hot afternoon.
